Headless 360 is here. Build for what comes next.

Salesforce teams can plan work in Slack, another app, or an AI assistant. The build still needs clear rules, reliable data, and people who can run it.

What to take back to your team

  • Choose one workflow with a clear owner.
  • Agree on permissions, quality checks, and cost controls before the build.
  • Give admins the knowledge and tools to operate the result.

Start with the work.

Salesforce announced Headless 360 in April 2026. It gives teams more ways to use Salesforce through APIs: interfaces that let software exchange data and request actions. These include tools for AI agents.

A useful implementation starts with the workflow, not the interface. Define the task, the systems it touches, and the actions that need review.

The first question is simple: which task should improve? A clear answer helps the team set scope, choose controls, and measure the result.

Set the rules before the build.

An AI agent is software that uses AI to carry out tasks. It needs defined permissions. It also needs limits on the actions it can take. The team must know when a person should review or approve the work.

Usage matters too. Estimate how many requests the workflow will send to Salesforce and which actions it will take. Monitor actual use after launch. A small test can behave differently when a whole team uses it each day.

Agree on acceptable output and test it with real examples. Use fixed rules for actions that cannot depend on AI judgment, such as whether a person must approve a record change.

Build for the people who will own it.

Include Salesforce admins in the design. Their knowledge of the system, data, and business rules is part of the solution.

Document support steps, warning signs, and the response to a failed action. Make ownership clear before the team depends on the workflow.

A useful delivery plan connects checks of your systems and data, design, build, testing, and the transfer to your support team. Each step should give your team evidence for the next decision.

The system must work for the people who run it after launch.

Apply it to your team

We can help your Salesforce team define one task for an app or AI assistant, then agree on the build, controls, and support responsibilities.
